Coffee Cup Handle La Mère Serax
A faithful collaborator of Serax, Belgian artist Marie Michielssen presents her very first line of ceramic tableware. This collection named “La Mère” is an ode to the maternal figure and women in general. The plain glaze, in off-white, coordinates wonderfully with the stylised motifs representing female figures. With their foot, some pieces grow taller. Marie Michielssen explains: “These tall shapes raise up the dishes you serve to a literally higher level. Really playful, these pieces can be combined, but you can also use them to add a festive element to your tablescape.
